Everyone loves a furry friend, and I am no exception. So when we checked into a new two-bedroom apartment we’d booked for the next 3 months, and the receptionist casually mentioned that there was a family of monkeys living ‘next door’ — I was more excited than concerned. Being near the local wildlife was all part of Thai life, after all. You saw snakes when you went for hikes, and you lived next door to monkeys.
