Because although our hopes to lead an unconventional life, filled with freedom, travel and oodles of family time could seem exotic — there is much drudgery and discomfort that goes along with it.

and me said this week, when we were interviewed for the ITV evening news about operation NOMAD (ooo errr!) — we know the grass isn’t greener. It’s just different grass.*Graaaaasssss to be said with a full Gloucestershire accent, of course.

It’s 9.55am and I’m cleaning the house with Jamie’s mum. We’ve got a viewing booked in for 11am. Jamie and Grandad have taken the kids out so that me and Ann can transform the place from a jumble sale back into something that resembles the photos of it on Right Move.
